This is a casting call for a short film titled "Passing Through" The film: - Cal has set off across the bleak, post-apocalyptic landscape for Shelled City in order to find his missing brother. Along the way he is confronted with a wise but unlikeable elder, as well as a gang of outlaws. His naivete has led him here, but with the help of some unexpected heroes, he makes continues his journey in a group instead of alone. Important info: - Shoot dates are December 11 through 14. Since this call is for the lead role, please only submit if you are available for ALL of those dates! - A gas reimbursement will be provided if you end up driving. - Lodging will be provided if the production stays in the area for the shoot dates. Role info: "Cal" - Caucasian male - 18 - 22 years old, appears 16 - 21 - 5'4" to 5'8" - Thin body type; 100 - 120 lbs - Round, boyish features. Think - the young lead actor in "Where the Wild Things Are," but older. Naive, imaginative. Pay/Reimbursement: - We're trying to carpool the production to the shoot location as much as possible, but if you end up driving, you will be reimbursed. - Meals will be provided on set - DVD & File Copy of the film + Credit as the lead - Footage of your takes: Basically I send you each of your takes on DVD's (might be from 1 to 5 discs, or more,) in a hi-res file format that you can easily implement into your reel.
